
KOROLEKO

Koroleko - Signifying “traditional” in the Bambara language, is a dynamic contemporary music ensemble from West Africa, renowned for its distinctive sound, captivating performances, and profound cultural heritage. The band is led by the charismatic multi-instrumentalist Koroleko Moussa, a griot of Burkinabé and Malian descent. Koroleko seamlessly integrates tradition with modern creativity, resulting in an unforgettable live experience.
In 2012, Moussa relocated to the United Kingdom and is currently based in London, where he has cultivated a successful musical career and leads the band named after him. Over the past decade, Koroleko has toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe, enthralling audiences with its vibrant rhythms, rich harmonies, and powerful storytelling through music.

In addition to leading the band, Koroleko Moussa has collaborated with the group Native Sun, performed alongside Minyanta, recorded with Afriquoi, and worked with composer James William Blades on the soundtrack for Beyoncé’s Black Is King.
